
Ingredients
- Obento Yaki Nori for Sushix 1
- Carrotx 1
- Half of a Continental Cucumberx 1
- Rice(Medium Grain)2 Cups
- Tuna (Tinned)x 1
- Whole Egg Mayo3-4 Tablespoons
- Water2 Cups
- Vinegar1 Cup
- Sugar(1/4 Cup)
- SaltTablespoon
Method
- Wash out the rice with warm water and rinse with a colander. Repeat 5 times.
- Take this rice and pour it into a semi-large saucepan.
- Add the water into the semi-large saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, Cover the saucepan with a lid and bring to medium heat.Leave this mixture at medium heat for an additional 4 - 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiled, pour the rice into a bowl.Cover the bowl with the same lid as before.
- Add the vinegar, sugar and salt to a separate saucepan and stir this mixture over high heat until the sugar dissolves. (2-3 Minutes)
- Remove the lid off of the bowl and pour the vinegar mixture over the rice, feathering it out with a wooden spatula.
- Mix the mixture with the spatula and leave the mixture in a cool place. (Fridge is probably the best)
- Cut the carrot and cucumber into bite sized slices.
- Drain the tinned tuna and mix the tuna and mayo in a bowl.
- Assemble!. Lay out the nori. Spread spoonfuls of rice over the nori so that there’s about 2 cm high, while leaving space at both ends of the nori for rolling. Add Tuna mixture, carrot slices, or cucumber to the roll.
- Roll the Sushi and plate!
