
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sushi Rice
- 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
- 2 Tbs caster sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Yaki Nori sheets cut into strips
- Furikake
- Sesame seeds
- Diced avocado, carrot and cucumber or other vegetarian filling
Method
- Cook sushi rice according to preferred method
- Mix in rice wine vinegar, sugar and salt and allow to cool
- With wet hands take a portion of sushi rice, add preferred filling to centre (avocado, carrot and cucumber), top with additional sushi rice and mould into an onigiri shape
- Dip edges in furikake or sesame seeds and wrap the onigiri with a strip of nori
- Enjoy!
