
Ingredients
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 brown onion
- 150g sliced mushrooms
- 1 carrot (grated)
- 1 zucchini (grated)
- 500g lean beef mince
- 3 Tbsp Obento Mirin
- 3 Tbsp Obento Sake
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- Chilli flakes (optional)
- Spring onion (to serve)
- Sesame seeds (to serve)
- Rice of choice (to serve)
- 1/4 tsp sugar
Method
- Combine the mirin, sake, soy sauce and sugar in a bowl and set aside the teriyaki mixture.
- Cook the garlic and brown onion on high heat with a splash of oil until the onion turns translucent. Add the grated carrot and zucchini, and mushrooms, and cook until softened.
- Add the beef mince, breaking out the lumps. Cook until brown, and then add the teriyaki mixture and cook for a further 5 mins or until most of the liquid evaporates. Mix in the chilli flakes, if adding.
- Serve the beef mixture over rice and top with sesame seeds and spring onion.
