Ingredients
- 600g High Quality Beef Steak, very thinly sliced.
- 12 Mini Flour Tortillas
- 3 cups Purple Cabbage, roughly chopped
- ½ cup Spring Onion, chopped
- ¼ cup Coriander, chopped
- ¼ cup Pomegranate Seeds
- Kewpie Mayo
- 2 Limes, cut into wedges
- ½ Fresh Pear (ideally Korean pear)
- 3 cloves of Garlic
- 1 tsp Ginger
- ½ Brown Onion
- 1 tbsp Yeo’s Pure Sesame Oil
- 2 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Obento Mirin Seasoning
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
Method
- To make the beef marinade: process the pear, garlic, ginger, onion, sesame oil, soy sauce, mirin and sugar in a blender until smooth. Pour the marinade into a large bowl along with your thinly sliced beef and mix well.
- Heat a dash of sesame oil in a skillet over a high heat, then add your marinated beef (it should sizzle when it hits the pan!). Continue stir-frying the beef until it browns and slightly caramelises (it should only take 3 - 4 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare your TaKoreas by layering the cabbage, coriander, and spring onion on warmed tortillas. Top with a generous serving of your beef, then garnish with the pomegranate seeds, mayo, and a squeeze of lime.
- Kick back with an icy cold beer and enjoy your TaKoreas!
