
Ingredients
- Sushi Rice
- Obento Sushi Seasoning
- Kewpie Mayonnaise
- Avocado
- Smoked Salmon
- Mozzarella
Method
- Rinse sushi rice before bringing to the boil. As soon as rice is boiling place a teatowel on top of the pot, under the lid and bring back to a low temperature for 10 minutes.
- Spread sushi rice out on to a tray at an even thickness and sprinkle Obento sushi seasoning onto the rice. 1/2 cup seasoning to every 1 cup rice. Allow to cool until there is no steam rising from the rice.
- Place a sheet of Obento Nori (seaweed paper) on a bamboo mat before spreading rice over the seaweed sheet at an even thickness (you should only just be able to see the seaweed through the rice)
- Place ideal toppings (smoked salmon, avocado, kewpie mayo, mozzarella) before rolling the sushi
- Once rolled cut into three even pieces and drizzle kewpie mayo and sprinkle cheese on top. With a flame grill torch lightly melt the cheese until slightly scorched
- Eat and enjoy!
