
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Obento Sushi rice
- 5 x Nori sheets
- 150mls Lee Kum Kee Teriyaki Stir fry sauce
- 1 tablespoon Obento rice wine vinegar
- 350grams chicken breast strips
- 2 carrots
- 1 cucumber
- 1 avocado
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon of castor sugar
- Obento sushi mat
Method
- Cut chicken into strips and then marinate for 20 minutes
- Measure and Wash rice
- Put rice into rice cooker for 10 minutes
- Cook chicken strips until meat is white and cooked through
- Slice up carrot, cucumber and avocado
- Once rice has cooked, let it cool. mix the salt, sugar and rice wine.
- Then lay the seaweed sheet shiny side down on the mat, spread the rice onto the seaweed and leave 1 inch from the end rice free.
- Add your carrot, avocado, cucumber and chicken in a strip on the rice.
- Then use the mat to roll
- Once you get to the end without rice, lightly wet the seaweed and seal
- Cut up with a knife and serve with your favourite sauces.
