
Ingredients
- 2tbs Cornflour
- 1/4tsp Ground White Pepper
- 500g Beef Strips
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2tbs Oyster Sauce
- 2tbs Salt-Reduce Soy Sauce
- 2tbs Kecap Manis
- 6 Spring Onion (sliced)
- 4cm Piece of Ginger
- Steamed Jasmine Rice
- 2tbs Sesame Seeds
- 1 Cucumber (sliced)
Method
- Combine cornflour and pepper in a bowl. Add beef and toss to coat. Heat a wok over high heat, add 1 tbs oil and swirl to coat. Stir-fry half the beef for 3 minutes or until browned. Transfer to a bowl. Cover to keep warm. Repeat with another 1 tbs oil and remaining beef.
- Meanwhile, combine sauces and 2 tbs cold water in a small bowl. Also, slice cucumber and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to wok. Stir-fry onion for 4 minutes or until softened. Add ginger and stir-fry for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Return beef to pan with onion and add sauce mixture, then stir-fry for 2 minutes or until sauce thickens. Top rice with stir-fry, and serve scattered with sesame seeds and sliced cucumber.
