
Ingredients
- 120 gm sourdough starter
- 2 chicken stock cubes dissolved in 50 gm water
- 3 eggs
- 50 gm cornstarch
- 100gm green cabbage finely sliced
- 30 gm green onions diced
- Sesame or vegetable oil for frying
- For yakatori sauce to serve - mirin, sake, tamari soy, brown sugar
Method
- Lightly beat eggs with a fork, add sourdough starter to combine, then mix in the cornstarch.
- Now pour in stock and mix well, working out all the lumps
- Mix in cabbage and onions and set aside.
- Make the yakatori dipping sauce to taste
- Heat oil in large frypan and ladle in mixture- makes about 4. Cook as for pancakes until brown on both sides.
- Serve with the yakatori, fresh chili, sesame seeds, nori sprinkles, kewpie Mayo, or other toppings of your choice.
