
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Sushi Rice
- 1 1/2 Cups of Water
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of Obento Sushi Seasoning
- Baking Paper
- Cucumber sliced into thin strips
- 100 grams Smoked Salmon
- Obento Yaki Nori Sheets
- Yarra Valley Salmon Caviar (optional)
- Obento Japanse Soy Sauce
Method
- Rinse 1 cup Sushi rice under cold water. Then place in pot, and add 1 1/2 cups of water and bring to boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to simmer for 15 mins. Once cooked, remove from heat and stand for 5 mins.
- Place rice in a bowl and add 1 1/2 tablespoon of Obento Sushi Seasoning to rice. Fold rice to mix.
- Take a sheet of baking paper and tray, and spread rice out on tray and fan to cool.
- Cut cucumber into thin strips.
- Take one 1 Obento nori sheet, place it shiny-side down on top of a sushi mat.
- Spread rice across the sheet, leaving 2-3 cms at the top
- add smoked salmon and cucumber
- take the sushi mat from the bottom and carefully create a roll. Continue to roll firmly, taking you to the top of the nori sheet.
- With a sharp cerated knife, cut your sushi into pieces and dress (optional) with Yarra Valley Salmon Caviar.
- Enjoy with Obento Japanese Soy Sauce sauce and a bowl of Miso.
