
Ingredients
- 20ml canola oil
- 300g pork mince
- 300g beef mince
- 2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 small carrot finely chopped
- 1 can Valcom water chestnuts finely chopped
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce (plus extra to serve)
- 1 tbsp shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornflour mixed with 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 small cos lettuce, separated into cups
- 2 spring onion cut finely
Method
- Heat a wok over high heat. Add the oil and pork and beef mince and fry until lightly browned.
- Add ginger, carrot and water chestnuts and toss for a minute.
- Add hoisin sauce, shaoxing wine, soy sauce, sesame oil and 1/2 cup water and simmer for 3 mins until vegetables have softened.
- Add cornflour mixture and toss until mixture is thickened.
- Serve mince mixture with a little spring onion on a lettuce cup and top with extra hoisin sauce.
