
Ingredients
- 500g Pork or Chicken Mince
- 1 Brown Onion (diced)
- 1 tbs Sesame Oil
- 1 tbs Minced Garlic
- 1 tbs Minced Ginger
- 2 tbs Rice Wine Vinegar
- 2 tbs Hoisin Sauce
- 2 tbs Dark Soy
- 1 227g can Valcom Water Chestnuts (diced)
- 2 Spring Onions (sliced)
- Sesame Seeds to garnish
- Lettuce Leaves (try to keep the leaves intact). Approx 8 leaves.
Method
- Cook mince over high heat in a wok or deep frying pan, stirring regularly to break up the lumps, until cooked through.
- While mince is cooking, prepare other ingredients.
- Add onion, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice wine vinegar, hoisin and dark soy to mince. Cook on medium heat until sauce thickens and is absorbed into mince.
- Take pan off the heat and add half of the chopped spring onions and the water chestnuts to the mince mixture, stirring until combined.
- Place lettuce cups on plate, add a spoonful of mince mixture to each cup.
- Garnish with remaining spring onions and sesame seeds (as desired) and enjoy.
