
Ingredients
- Short grain rice
- Obento yaki nori
- Plant-based ‘tuna’
- Plant-based crumbed ‘beef’
- Tofu
- Avocado
- Cucumber
- Pickled carrot
- Plant-based spicy mayo
- Sushi rice seasoning
- Miso soup
- Ponzu sauce
- Wasabi
Method
- Cook 2 cups of short grain rice in a rice cooker on sushi rice setting
- Once rice is cooked, fold through 1 tablespoon of sushi seasoning
- Lay nori sheet on a bamboo mat
- Add thin layer of sushi rice and chosen toppings
- roll up sushi roll using the bamboo mat, and wet the end of the nori sheet to seal it
- Put in fridge until you’re ready to eat
- For onigiri- on glad wrap add some sushi rice and make a small dent in the centre
- Add a small amount of chosen filling into the well and put more rice on top
- Use the gladwrap to form a ball
- Then form into a triangle shape
- Remove plastic wrap and add a strip of nori around the base of the onigiri. Then you’re done!
