
Ingredients
- Macaroni - 500g
- Milk - 3 cups
- Flour - 4 tbs
- Butter - 6 tbs
- Cream - 1 cup
- Grated Mozzarella cheese - 2 cup
- Tasty cheese- 2 cup
- Panko breadcrumbs - 2 cup
- Salt - To taste
- Black Pepper - To taste
Method
- Preheat your oven to 200C and bring a pot of water to the boil with a couple of pinches of salt.
- Add your macaroni to the salted boiling water and cook according to the instructions to al dente.
- In the meantime melt 4 tbs of butter in a pot and add your flour while breaking the lumps and stirring on medium-low heat. Then add your milk and cream and keep whisking while it start to thicken up. After it has thickened you add your cheeses and salt-pepper to taste.
- Melt the remaining butter in a pan on medium-high heat and add your panko breadcrumbs stirring until they get a bit of colour. Season to your taste.
- Once the pasta is cook drain it and toss it through the cheesy sauce.
- Add your cheese mix to a baking tray and cover with the butter fried panko crumbs.
- Bake at 200C for 20 minutes until you reach a nice golden panko crup.
- Let it cool down for about 10 minutes. While you wait, chop some parsley and sprinkle it on top for garnish and added flavour.
- Cut into the desired size and serve with a spatula to keep the shape.
