- Tonkatsu sauce Obento
- Frozen edamame beans
- japanese mayonaise
- Japanese salad pre-made with wombok cabbage
- avocado
- cucumber
- panko bread crumbs
- egg x2
- plain flour
- water
- Cooking oil
- chicken tenders 500 gm
Method
- Cook one cup of rice following absorption method, season with sushi seasoning to taste in non-metal bowl
- Whilst rice is cooking defrost edamame bean and tenderise chicken with mallet (place baking paper over to avoid a mess). when tenderised coat in flour, then beaten egg and push in Panko bread crumps to cover Shallow fry crumbed chicken on high heat, keep warm in oven Chop cucumber and avocadoSlice cooked chicken
- Assemble bowls with sushi rice on bottom (tastes amazing) then top with salad, cucumber avocado, sliced chicken and edamame beans. drizzle with tonkatsu sauce and mayonnaise. It is delicious and oh so easy.Use leftover chicken and rice and veg to make katsu chicken sushi rolls for the kid's lunch box in the morning. double duty food is the best!!!
