
Ingredients
- Yaki Nori for sushi sheets
- Short grain rice - 1 cup
- rice wine vinegar - 2-3Tbs
- Sugar - 2-3Tbs
- tinned tuna mixed with kewpie mayonnaise
- vegetables - cut 1 inch lengths
Method
- Cook rice according to packet instructions. Tip, do not wash rice first as you want it to be a bit sticky. Once cooked add rice wine vinegar and enough sugar to cover the vinegar flavour. Set aside.
- Place nori shiny side down on your bamboo rolling mat. Tip: cover mat with plastic wrap to prevent nori sticking to it. Spread thin layer of rice over the nori, leaving about 2cm strip. place your choice of fillings along opposite side of empty strip.
- Use bamboo mat to roll up the nori, pressing tightly as you roll and sealing closed with edge of Nori. Cut with a wet knife to preferred size. Serve with soy dipping sauce.
