
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Japanese short grain rice
- 1/4 cup Cabbage
- 1 small can of tuna
- 1 Spring onion stem
- 1/2 sheet Obento Yaki nori for sushi
- Kewpie mayonnaise (to taste)
- A handful of Tasty or mozzarella cheese
- A pinch of Pickled ginger
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Gochujang
Method
- Cook the rice according to package instructions.
- Drain the can of tuna and empty it into a bowl.
- Chop the spring onion and add it to the tuna, along with approximately 1 teaspoon of Kewpie mayonnaise. Stir until combined.
- For the sauce, mix together soy sauce, honey, sesame seeds, sesame oil, garlic (grated) and gochujang.
- Chop the cabbage and grate the cheese, set these aside for later.
- When ready, add rice to a small oven-safe dish and mix in your desired amount of the gochujang sauce (see step 4).
- Top with cabbage, tuna mix (see step 3) and grated cheese. Grill until the cheese has completely melted.
- Remove from the oven and Garnish with Kewpie mayonaise, pickled ginger and strips of Obento Yaki nori for sushi. Enjoy!
