
Ingredients
- 1 cup Short grain white rice
- 350 g Sirloin beef
- 1/4 cup Soy sauce (to make teriyaki sauce)
- Eggs (poached)
- 2 tbsp Cooking sake (to make teriyaki sauce)
- 2 tbsp Mirin (to make teriyaki sauce)
- Pickled Ginger (to serve)
- 2 tsp White sugar (to make teriyaki sauce)
- Shallots (seasoning)
- Chilli flakes (seasoning)
- 1 Brown onion
- 3/4 cup Chicken stock
Method
- Cook white rice for approximately 10 minutes and set aside
- Mix chicken stock and teriyaki sauce in a saucepan and bring to boil
- Add Chopped onion to mix and simmer for 3 minutes
- Add thinly sliced beef to mix and stir through. Should take no more than 2 minutes to cook through.
- Poach eggs simultaneously which should take 5-6 minutes.
- Add cooked rice to base of bowl then add beef mixture on top. Place poached egg on top then garnish with chopped shallots, chilli flakes and pickled ginger.
