
Ingredients
- Chicken thighs (bones removed) - 300g
- Garlic - two cloves
- Ginger - half of a thumb size
- Spring onion - one
- Salt and pepper - half of a teaspoon each
- Soy sauce - one tablespoon
- Mirin - one tablespoon
- Sake - one tablespoon
Method
- Prick the chicken thighs.
- Salt and pepper the chicken thighs.
- Slice the garlic and ginger into mince.
- Slice the spring onion into mince
- Prepare teriyaki sauce by mixing soy sauce, mirin and sake together.
- Preheat the frying pan till it is hot and then add cooking oil.
- Cook the chicken with one side down till it is evenly brown and then turn the side.
- When the chicken turns brown evenly, adjust the heat level to low and put the grated garlic and ginger into the pan.
- Keep stir frying till you smell the aromatics of garlic and ginger and then turn off the burner.
- Evenly apply the prepared teriyaki sauce to the chicken and stir till surface of the chicken turns shiny.
- Plate the chicken and spray the grated spring onion on to the chicken evenly.
- Dig in!
