
Ingredients
- Sushi rice
- Obento Yaki nori
- Obento Rice Wine vinegar
- Kewpie mayonnaise, S&B Japanese Horseradish/wasabi, S&B Japanese chili paste
- Protein - eg. salmon fillet or egg
- Cucumber, carrot, lettuce or other salad ingredients such as avocado
Method
- Cook sushi rice with water in rice cooker
- Once cooked, drizzle with 2tablespoons of Obento rice wine vinegar and cool on a tray, breaking up any lumps with a flat spoon using a cutting motion
- Cook protein in fry pan eg. Salmon fillet or 2 eggs wisked with a splash of milk. Cut into small pieces and put onto serving tray
- Cut up carrot, peeled cucumber and washed lettuce into thin slithers. Put onto serving tray
- Take a sheet of Obento Yaki nori, spread with a few small scoops of cooled rice mixture in the centre. Assemble your own sushi using ingredients and sauces that you like (eg. kewpie mayonnaise, S&B Japanese horseradish/wasabi, S&B Japanese Chili paste) layered in the centre of the nori sheet
- Hand roll up sushi roll and enjoy.There are many different delicious combinations that you can try. Great family favourite, especially with children as they can get hands on and select their own delicious healthy sushi ingredients..Yum!
