
Ingredients
- 250g beef stir fry strips
- 1 X 227g tin Valcom water chestnut slices drained
- 1/4 tsp Chinese Five Spice powder
- 1.5 tsp crushed garlic
- 1 medium carrot peeled and cut into matchsticks
- 1 cup green beans cut into 3cm pieces
- 1/2 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 red capsicum
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Method
- Heat oil in wok or large saucepan. Fry beef, garlic and five spice until beef is browned.
- Add carrots and fry a further 2 minutes.
- Add capsicum, broccoli and beans and fry a further 2 minutes.
- Add water chestnuts and fry a further 1 minute.
- Combine water, cornflour, chicken stock powder and soy sauce in a cup. Add to wok and stir until boiling and sauce has slightly thickened.
