
Ingredients
- 2 cups of sushi rice
- 2 cups water
- 3-4 tbsp obento sushi seasoning
- 4 obento yaki Nori for sushi
- Sushi express
- Soy sauce
- Optional fillings Strips of vegetables of choice including carrot, cucumber, avocado
- Kewpi mayonnaise
Method
- Rinse rice until water runs clear
- Place rice and water in pot and bring to boil , turn down heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes
- Remove from heat and put rice in bowl and add sushi seasoning
- Wait for for rice to cool then place Nori sheet shiney side down
- Place sushi express in centre of nori sheet and place layer of rice in centre of sushi express and create trough in centre
- Place sushi fillings in centre of rice horizontally
- Place another layer of rice in centre of sushi express covering the fillings
- Wet the top of sushi express and squash the rice in sushi express
- Gently remove the sushi express and fold the Nori sheet around the sushi wetting Nori sheet to stick down as needed
- Place in fridge to cool then cut into small 1.5cm thick pieces with wet knife
- Repeat with other remaining ingredients
- Serve with obento sushi and sashimi soy sauce and S&B wasabi
