
Ingredients
- Brown rice
- Prawn dumplings (or dumplings of your choice)
- Broccoli
- Obento Nori for Sushi
Method
- Cook 1 cup of brown rice in rice cooker according to rice cooker instructions
- Fill a small pot to 3/4 full with cold water. Place on the stove and bring to boil. Place into the boiling water 4 prawn dumplings (or dumplings of your choice) per person. Turn stove down to simmer and cook for the time according to dumpling packet instructions
- Cut broccoli into florets, 1 broccoli head for 4 people. Place in a steamer, and place the steamer over the pot with the dumplings. Place a lid on top of the steamer. When the dumplings are cooked, the broccoli will be cooked as well.
- Take 1 sheet of Obento Nori for Sushi. Using kitchen scissors, cut the sheet into fine strips approximately 2cm long.
- When dumplings and broccoli are cooked, remove steamer and place onto a chopping board. Drain water from dumplings.
- When rice is cooked, place approximately 1/4 cup into each bowl, add 4 dumplings in each bowl on top of the rice, add several florets of broccoli. Sprinkle a generous amount of the fine strips of Obento Nori for Sushi over the top.
