
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups cooked sushi rice
- 1/2 cup Obento Sushi Seasoning
- 200 gm thinly sliced beef, cut into strips
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1/3 cup Lee Kum Kee Premium Soy Sauce
- 100gm smoked salmon
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 3 mini cucumbers
- Kewpie Mayonnaise
- 4 Obento Yaki Nori sushi sheets
- You will need a bamboo sushi mat (or a sushi roller).
Method
- Mix the obento sushi seasoning into the cooked rice and allow it to cool
- Combine the honey and Kum Kee Soy sauce
- Add the beef strips and let them sit while the rice cools
- Lightly fry the beef strips
- Using a sushi mat lay out one sheet of Yaki Nori and spread a layer of rice about 1-2cm thick in the middle, using damp hands, leaving one edge of the Nori clear
- Add your favorite filling ... cucumber, salmon, avocado, and Kewpie dressing; OR honey soy beef strips, avocado, and Kewpie dressing; OR any combination you like.
- Add the top layer of rice.
- Wrap the nori around the rice and roll tightly using the sushi mat Lift one end of the mat and roll it tightly over the filling to make the roll.
- Brush the edge of the nori without any rice with a little water to help seal and roll tightly again.
- Slice with a slightly wet knife and serve with Premium Soy Sauce and Kewpie dressing.
