- Obento Japanese Yaki Nori
- Salmon
- Rice
- Carrot
- Cucumber
- Capsicum
- Red onion
- Rice wine vinegar
- Sugar
- Sesame oil
- Choy Sum
- Mayonaise
- Sriracha
- Soy sauce
Method
- Boil rice as per packet instructions
- Season salmon. Pan fry salmon, skin side down first and then flip. Cook to your liking. Set aside.
- Dissolve sugar into rice wine vinegar and set aside
- Slice nori sheets into 12 rectangular pieces. Then brush with oil and sprinkle with salt. Place in a preheated over for 6 minutes or until dry and crispy.
- Cut all vegetables
- Pour vinegar and sugar mixture over carrot and red onion and any other vegetables you wish to pickle. Leave for 10 minutes.
- Assemble bowl using the rice as the base. Assemble all remaining toppings to your liking. Dress with mayo, soy sauce, and sriracha.
