
Ingredients
- Iceberg lettuce
- 500g Beef mince
- 1 onion (diced)
- 3 Cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1/2 Carrot (diced)
- 1 1/2 Carrot (grated)
- 150g Green Beans (Chopped)
- 1 1/2 tbs Soy Sauce
- 1 tbs Oyster Sauce
- 1 tbs Mirin
- 1 ts Pepper
- 1 tbs Cornflour
- 3/4 C Cold Water
- 2 C Rice
- 1 can of Valcom Water Chestnut Slices (diced)
- 1/2 Beetroot (grated)
Method
- Wash rice and cook in separate saucepan
- Saute onions and oil in a large non-stick pan or skillet. Cook medium-high heat until onion sweats and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes
- Push onions to the rims of the pan, add pork mince and saute for about 2 minutes on high heat or until meat is brown but not cooked through. Mix Mirin into the pan and allow the wine to evaporate. This will take about 1 minute
- Add diced carrots, beans, water chestnuts, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and pepper. Mix and cook on low heat for 10 minutes
- Combine 1/2 tbs soy sauce, 3/4 c cold water and 1 tbs corn flour ingredients in a bowl, mix well and pour into the pan. Stir the beef and vegetables for 1-2 minutes on low heat
- Prepare the cup lettuce in a bowl, add your cooked rice then the meat beef and vegetable mix
- Prepare the remaining grated carrot and beetroot
