
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 brown onion chopped
- 1 carrot grated
- 1 zucchini grated
- 500g beef mince
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp mirin
- 3 tbsp cooking sake
- 0.5 tsp white sugar
- White rice
- Optional - green onion, chilli flakes or your favourite garnish
Method
- Combine soy sauce, mirin, cooking sake and sugar to make teriyaki sauce
- Heat oil in frying pan on high heat. Add onion and garlic
- Once onion is soft, add carrot and zucchini and cook until combined and softened
- Add beef and continue to break it up until brown
- Pour teriyaki sauce over beef and cook until sauce has evaporated
- Serve over white rice and top with your preferred garnish, salt and pepper
